I was shocked to learn of all of the harmful ingredients added to the cosmetics most women use. My sister and I have been talking mascara lately, so I decided to do some research on what is typically added to mascara. This is what I found.

Propylene Glycol- This is approved by the FDA, but has caused severe skin irritations, itching, pain, and in severe cases cause painful blisters.

Retinyl Acetate (Vitamin A Acetate)- According the EWG, Retinyl Acetate may cause biochemical or cellular level changes and mutations in your genes. Use of this ingredient is prohibited in Canadian cosmetics.
